10 places you can code from with coden
A tram, a train, a plane, a cabin in the woods, even a walk with the dog. The Agent works on your computer and you direct it from your phone — from anywhere.
Coding with an AI agent is different. It does most of the work — you assign, approve and review. And for that you do not need to sit at a desk. With coden, the Agent runs on your computer and you direct it from your phone, wherever you are. Here are ten places where it works better than you would expect.
1. On the tram to work
Twenty minutes that would otherwise go to scrolling. You tell the Agent what to do today — fix a failing test, finish a form, look into yesterday’s bug — and by the time you get off, the work is in full swing. You walk into the office with the first step already done, not with a blank screen.
2. On the train, even when the signal keeps dropping
A tunnel, a forest, the middle of nowhere. The connection drops — and it does not matter. The Agent on your computer keeps working and the Server records every step it takes. As soon as the signal comes back, everything you missed arrives in the right order. A permission request simply waits for you in the meantime.
3. On a plane
Hand over the work before take-off and read at your leisure in the air. Your project’s documentation is stored on your phone, so you can read Markdown and diagrams even in airplane mode. Go through the architecture, think about the next tasks and write them down. After landing, see what the Agent got done in the meantime.
4. In a café
Your laptop stayed at home and you are working anyway. Just your phone and a coffee on the table. In the Conversation you see which file the Agent is reading, what it changes and which command it ran, and if it heads in the wrong direction, you stop it with a single button.
5. On the couch in the evening
You have left your desk, but the idea only came now. Instead of turning your computer back on, you write it into Tasks. And once there are a few of them, one button sends them to the Agent — in the morning you will find them in To review.
6. At lunch
The hour when nothing used to happen on your project. Now the Agent works while you eat. When it finishes, you get a notification — even with the app closed. Between the soup and the main course you approve what it needs and move on.
7. In the doctor’s waiting room
A quarter of an hour you could not otherwise use for anything. So you go through what the Agent did this morning: the test history, what is failing and why, or you have it explain a piece of code you do not understand. The answer is saved to the project as documentation.
8. At a cabin in the woods
A weekend out of town and a small fix is urgent at work. You do not have to drive home for it. Your phone and computer find each other on their own, even behind NAT and without a public IP address, and where the network does not allow a direct connection, it goes through Relay. You assign the fix, review it and commit from the Git tab.
9. Walking the dog
The best ideas come when you are not sitting down. Meanwhile, the Agent has finished a new screen — and you click through it in Preview right on your phone, with touch controls, on the very display you are building it for. Anything you do not like, you write down on the spot.
10. And of course at your desk
Coden is not just a phone. The same app also runs in a window on your computer — with a file tree, tabs and the Conversation alongside. Your phone and the window work with the same Server at the same time, so you can finish on the tram what you started at your desk. And tomorrow morning it all starts again.
Your code stays on your computer the whole time; only documentation and images go to your phone. To get started, see the Getting started guide.
